<p><font size="+1" face="Times">As you decide where to have your new york headshots taken, you are probably asking yourself the following questions: What defines a great new york headshot? Which style of headshot is right for me? How do I make the right choice? How much do I need to pay for headshots? I think I can help you answer these questions -- so please read on!</font></p>
<p><font size="+1" face="Times">I have been in the business for 15 years and have seen many styles and fads come and go, but there are a few constants that define great headshots:</font></p>

<p><font size="+1" face="Times">Most important, your headshots must be an honest representation of you -- your personality, type and age range.</font></p>
<p><font size="+1" face="Times">When you look at a headshot, the eyes must be saying something, the picture should engage the viewer. It should invite them in and make them feel like this is a person they would like to meet, someone they would like to work with. There should be a sense of warmth, honesty and life. This all comes from the expression in the eyes.</font></p>
<p><font size="+1" face="Times">In a successful headshot the first thing a casting director or agent sees is YOU -- not the photographer's style or busy backgrounds or extraneous elements. The impact should be immediate.</font></p>
<p><font size="+1" face="Times">Your headshots must be up-to-date. A headshot is a tool, an introduction, and if you get called in from a headshot and the person who walks in the door does not look like the the one in the picture, you're in trouble!<br>

<p><font size="+1" face="Times">I spend as much time as we need to allow you to be yourself and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I talk to you before the session to find out how you see yourself and how you want to market yourself and what you want your headshots to say. I shoot from 5 to 8 rolls of film (36 exposures each) and spend 2 1/2 to 3 hours with you. This allows for several changes of clothes and different lighting variations to insure that you will leave the session with shots that will suit your needs. In fact the only complaint I usually here from my clients is that there are too many goods shots to choose from. The atmosphere is unhurried and relaxed. I try to make the experience fun. The time is yours without distractions or interruptions. As far as the "Studio vs. Natural Lighting" question goes, I come down on the studio side. I can do subtle variations in the studio to add contouring, accenting with shadows, and light intensity that are impossible to do with natural light. I do all of my own processing and therefore have complete control over the finished product. My wife is a skilled photo retoucher with nearly 20 years of experience. We do <a href="headshotsretouch.html">digital retouching</a> and give you finished state of the art digital prints, with your name already on the image, ready for reproduction.</font></p>
